MCSS 2024

MOTOR CONTROL SUMMER SCHOOL – XXI (in Poland!)

We invite bright, open-minded graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and young professionals to apply for admission to the Motor Control Summer School # XXI (MCSS- XXI). MCSS-XXI will be a five-day event, September 14 – September 18, 2024. It will include an arrival day (September 14), three days of sessions (September 15-17), and a departure day (September 18). We plan to bring together 6-8 faculty and 30-40 students selected from the pool of applicants.

MCSS-XXI is timed to facilitate participation in the traditional “Motor Control” Conference run in Poland every 4 years. Those attending MCSS-XXI are encouraged to stay for the “Motor Control” Conference (to be held close to the MCSS-XXI site) with a possibility of reduced registration fee (details to follow). SITE:

Our hosts are the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice. We will stay in a hotel in the Beskidas mountains in Ustron/Wisla. Transfer will be arranged from Krakow and/or Katowice.

If you would like to participate in MCSS-XXI, please e-mail a letter of interest to Mark Latash (latash@psu.edu) with a single-file PDF attachment containing a CV with a list of your publications and presentations. If you would like to present a poster, submit a single-page abstract (PDF, font Times New Roman 12, reasonably formatted: the title, authors, affiliations, text). Abstract submission is not a pre-requisite for attendance.

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: March 1, 2024. Earlier applications will get preference for admission. Admission decisions will be made by the end of March 2024, and those accepted will be notified by e-mail.
