Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Health Promotion (Kinesiology) – Fall 2017

Candidates must possess an earned doctoral degree in kinesiology, motor control, biomechanics, or a closely-related field.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of excellence in teaching is required. Experience supervising undergraduate research is preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The department is seeking an outstanding professional who is enthusiastic, passionate about her/his field, and has a strong desire to help students succeed. The individual will teach, advise majors, and perform service to the department, university, and community.
TEACHING: will develop and teach undergraduate kinesiology and health promotion content courses as assigned by the department chair. These courses may include, but are not limited to, motor control, senior seminar, kinesiology, lifetime fitness and wellness, care and prevention of athletic injuries, and the supervision of internships. Candidates may also be asked to teach in the General Education Core course curriculum.
ADVISING: will advise undergraduate Kinesiology and Health Promotion majors.
SERVICE: will include participation in department activities, service on university committees, participation in the life of the University, involvement with professional organizations, and engagement in community service.
